KERALA
KALA MANDALAM FESTIVAL
Charu Sija's performance of the different Charis,
depiction of Lasya and Tandava feats and delineation of
an anecdote from Krishna's childhood were demonstrative
of the artistic excellence of the art form as well as an
eloquent expression of her superb
artistry.
HITAVADA (Nagpur)
Charu gave what could be easily adjudged the item of
the evening. Dashavatar stood as an ample testimony to
the dancing skills of Charu as she unfurled one avatar
after the other with rare finesse. It was the best.
THE TIMES (London)
Much beautiful and sensitive dancing from Charu
Mathur.
SCIENTEIA (Bucharest, Rumania)
Charu Mathur never to be forgotten in the dance
inspired from the Mahabharata.
MIRROR (Guyana)
Charu Mathur charmed the appreciative Queens College
audience with her exquisite
grace and elegance.
NATIONAL HERALD
The perennial charmer whom we expect nothing but
brilliance.
HINDUSTAN TIMES
Charu Mathur transmutes age with the surefire touch
of a great artist.
HINDUSTAN TIMES
Lithe as a schoolgirl Charu Sija evoked all the
range of emotions which Draupadi
underwent.
MANIPUR TIMES
Charu Mathur emerged as a beautiful princess and
danced equally beautifully and with
grace.
STATEMAN
Charu Mathur as Shakuntala was superb in her
delineations now as the love struck
maiden and then as the disillusioned one. Her eyes spoke
eloquently, and in the reunion with Dushyant, she rose
to great heights communicating the ecstasy.
